I can still remember when Warm Jets, Tiger Mtn, Another Green World or Before and After Science could kick some serious art-house butt. put on Baby's On Fire and kick back. a great way to introduce some cool ambience, or break up the party, depending on who was there or who was square ...

and Scott, Sunday is my mother's 90th, and she's a diehard Pats fan. Have fun at Nicks, but i'll be watching the game with her ...camerashyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00892621781887210272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247465466156954332.post-34871420758890679642007-01-09T12:55:00.000-05:002007-01-09T12:55:00.000-05:00You can join here-looks legit and buy it.....

But, (1) I despise guitarsnob Robert Fripp with a passion, (2)In reallity, a lot of Eno' stuff had more juice in the cover art than the recording, (3) Eno fanboys were and are mostly boho snobs who wouldn't know a solid backbeat if it bit them in the ass(and, back in the day at least, far too many of 'em looked too much like Eno for comfort), (4)His role model, John Cage, deserves kudos too, but how often are ya gonna play one of his minimalist opuses when you're munching yer eggs?Scotty Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02935119042970641558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5247465466156954332.post-57141008653246392422007-01-06T20:14:00.000-05:002007-01-06T20:14:00.000-05:00I had one of the first MP3 recorders called Diamon...I had one of the first MP3 recorders called Diamond Rio. In the 56K modem dial-up world I lived in, and the quality of Pentium chips to produce the necessary RAM, I was lucky to download one song in a couple of hours. I had bought it for my job at Fatima, where the computer was connected to a fast T1 hook-up...the only problem was it had no sound card, so it (the Diamond Rio) was useless. I abandoned the technology (which cost almost $200) and have since fell in love with the I-Pod...Apple only please. After hearing how cool the JBL speaker docker sounded at Karen Joost's cookouts this Summer, I imagined a world where everyone would take turns putting their pods into the docking spot and being DJ for 15 minutes of fame.
Eno probably was thinking about all of this when he was still in Roxy Music, but I just thought he was wicked cool looking.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
